About Us
New Media Ministries is a Christian ministry founded by Gary Burger (Biography) in 1996. It is a tax exempt [501c(3)] nonprofit corporation. The purpose of New Media Ministries is to provide a bridge between quality biblical scholarship and a lay audience. We find that many people still hold skeptical notions about the Bible and Christianity that were dispelled many years ago. A lot of biblical scholarship is written in thick books and hard to find academic journals, neither of which are very accessible to the public. This is unfortunate because it keeps people from acquiring the information that would answer their questions, fears and superstitions. Answering these problems can result in more faith. The Internet provides a cost effective way to disseminate this information to those who are seeking it.
